The HR Specialist will support the design, delivery, and ongoing facilitation of Human Resource (HR) programs, projects, and initiatives on behalf of the HR Team. The role will serve as a key touchpoint for employee outreach and inquiries; manage processes and workflows related to the employee life cycle; and provide project/ program support to members of HR Leadership.

Responsibility will also include tracking, reporting, and distributing key data and metrics; administering assigned HR programs to the organization; and performing audit and/or quality reviews to ensure the accuracy of data/ information collected and distributed by the HR Team.

What you will do for the Fay Group:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions. Respond, refer, and/or escalate items as appropriate
  • Manage assigned processes and workflows related to the employee life cycle from onboarding through termination, leaves of absence, benefits administration, wellness, compensation administration, recognition, performance management, and/or employee development
  • Support new employee orientation, new manager assimilation, and other employee training programs
  • Track, report, and distribute key data and metrics; assist with the design of reporting and facilitation of the collection of data. Perform analysis and identify trends for review with leadership
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor employee surveys; research, identify, and collect information from other data sources for use in benchmarking exercises or qualitative program reviews
  • Perform audit and/or quality reviews of HR transactions, data, and/or information collection for adherence and accuracy as instructed and outlined in department processes. Document and report on outcomes
  • Provide support for HR projects and initiatives to include: scheduling of meetings, data collection, researching information, preparing communications, and developing summaries, presentations, or other resources as required
  • Prepare, reconcile, and track expenses; organize related reporting; manage invoices; submit expense reimbursements where appropriate. Summarize and chart data as requested
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments and outside organizations including: business leadership, vendors, and/or community organizations
  • Appropriately manage confidential and non-routine information; exercise strong judgment to ensure appropriate escalation and/or review; articulate and explain Fay policies and/or protocols as directed
  • Develop and document standard processes for routine activities; surface ideas and solutions for process improvement
  • Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s businesses to include an understanding of short-term goals and long-term strategies for the organization
  • Maintain broad influence through ongoing development of relationships across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices
  • Role model Fay’s Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What you will bring to the Fay Group:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/ GED)
  • 1-3 years’ Human Resources experience
  • Previous experience working in a matrix environment preferred
  • Strong project management skills & experience
  • Strong technical skills and demonstrated experience with MS Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with ADP/ UKG HRIS platforms preferred; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of individuals both internal and external to the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization
  • Strong organization and planning skills; ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize activities
  • Collaborative work style; demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
