This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of mothers and babies during the birthing process. **Responsibilities:** - Provide direct patient care to expectant mothers in labor, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with pain management techniques. - Assist in the delivery of newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mother and baby. - Conduct assessments during labor to monitor progress and identify any potential complications. - Educate patients on prenatal care, labor procedures, and postpartum recovery. - Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for each patient. - Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. - Support patients emotionally and provide guidance throughout the childbirth experience. **Experience:** - Prior experience in labor and delivery or obstetrics is preferred. - Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the stages of labor. - Familiarity with medical documentation systems such as Cerner is a plus. - Ability to lift and assist patients during labor as needed. - Understanding of medical procedures commonly used in labor and delivery settings. - Experience with Botulinum toxin treatment or ICD-9 coding is advantageous.
