FCCAA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and janitorial tasks in our facilities. Under the Direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs a variety of tasks including assisting with light building repairs and maintaining building cleanliness; fixing electrical fixtures and plumbing problems that may arise in agency facilities; making adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling and ventilating systems; performing various landscaping duties such as mowing grass, operating the weed whacker, and pruning shrubs and trees as needed (may also plant flowers and shrubs); notifying managers of the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems; Assisting in room setup to facilitate agency and community activities; monitoring building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours and checking appliances/electrical items to ensure not hazards exists; maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility by ensuring the proper containment and/or disposal of garbage, and other waste; and, performing other related duties as required. Our ideal candidate for this position has two or more years of experience in institutional maintenance or facility management. Completion of vocational training/certification in HVAC, electricity, plumbing, or closely related field is preferred.
