We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee all aspects of the Shop Thru Market and Backpack Programs at the FCCAA Foodbank. This position reduces food insecurity in Fayette County by managing all aspects of assigned programs and ensuring continued volunteers and support to sustain program operations. Essential functions of the role include the following: Managing the FCCAA Foodbank’s Shop Thru Facility in accordance with funding, agency, and regulatory requirements. Managing Shop Thru Facility inventory and orders to ensure adequate stock. Coordinating with the Foodbank Project Manager to ensure donated food is processed and distributed before expiration date. Working with local markets and farmers to identify opportunities to add produce products to Shop Thru inventory (documents and quantifies donations for grant reporting). Coordinating with the Planning and Development Department to ensure on-going Shop Thru advertising, marketing, and communication via social media and other local media channels. Serving as a community liaison for the Backpack Program ensuring schools are registered for the program. Ensuring backpacks are filled and distributed to students according to program timelines and commitments. Recruiting and managing volunteers for the Shop Thru and backpack programs overseeing volunteer vetting, scheduling, task management, and reporting. Coordinating the leasing of storage space within the Fayette Storage facility including contract management, monthly billing, contract renewals and fiscal invoicing and reporting. Overseeing leasing of the facility’s commercial kitchen and ensuring those using the facility do so in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Conducting regular inspections of leased spaces to ensure storage and use are compliant with facility standards and guidelines. Operating equipment and vehicles as necessary to facilitate the pickup and delivery of product as needed. Ensuring cleanliness of the Shop Thru, kitchen, and warehouse facilities and managing relevant inspections. Performing other related duties as assigned. Our ideal candidate has three or more years of retail management experience (grocery store management is preferred); Program or Project Management experience preferred as well as demonstrated customer service skills in a retail setting and experience managing contracts and financial reporting. This role also requires the ability to network and communicate well and knowledge of property management.
