FB Society is Hiring a Director - FP&A Near Dallas, TX

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for directing all company financial planning and analysis functions, transforming operational data into insights for senior management in support of short and long-term financial goals. The Director of FP&A will be responsible for preparing and providing timely and relevant financial analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), business plans, and working models to identify opportunities and gaps needed to make informed business decisions. Success in this role will be achieved through effective cross-functional business partnerships with senior leadership and providing strategic finance support and thought leadership in support of company goals, strategy, and objectives. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The Director of FP&A has 3 direct reports and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies.

An outstanding Director of FP&A should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Verbal and written communication skills to create reports and present them to others

· Knowledge of analysis and financial software

· Strong creative skills to develop new and innovative solutions

· Ability to create and deliver unbiased budget expectations for different departments

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Conducts in-depth, insightful, and timely financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability assessments, and scenario modeling.

· Identifies trends, risks, and opportunities within the financial data and provides actionable insights to senior management.

· Develops, generates, and delivers reports and dashboards in support of day-to-day operations and strategic decision making.

· Creates effective strategies to collect internal and external relevant data, analyze information, conduct research, and implement analytics solutions to drive business performance.

· Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investment or spending decisions.

· Track, analyze, and provide financial information and insight for strategic initiatives and projects.

· Leads development of monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range forecasts and business plans.

· Fosters strategic partnership with concept leaders and department heads to help guide strategic profitability decisions.

· Create budgets for the business, including evaluating the needs of each department.

· Drives continuous improvement in financial processes and tools, reporting methodologies, and analysis techniques.

· Hire and oversee leaders in the finance department, including giving directions and delivering periodical evaluations.

· Motivate, lead, coach and develop others.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum of 7 years accounting/finance experience

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or business administration.

· Experience leading FP&A functions in a startup environment, interfacing with the board and investors and a robust knowledge of SEC processes and requirements.

· Experience with a large, diverse multi-unit company preferably in the hospitality or retail industry.

· Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.

· Experience implementing and/or driving a budget & forecast process, establishing and measuring relevant KPI’s for a company.

· Presentation development and delivery

· Strong technology skills (Excel, financial systems, etc.). Experience with Hyperion PBCS a plus.
