Shipping and Receiving Clerk Functions :

• Responsible for promptly shipping and receiving incoming and outgoing orders.
• Obtains finished products from inspection to fill orders for stock items or special orders, carefully verifying identifying information and quantities.
• Places items in containers and wraps so that the invoice is visible.
• Receives wrap and pack orders correctly.
• Handles return shipments to manufacturer for repairs.
• Folds boxes for parts and packaging.
• Packages orders for local or out-of-town shipments.
• Re-orders perishable shipping supplies.
• Maintaining and establishing records and documentation of all types as required.
• Ensure all safety and personal protective equipment is always in place.
• Follow Work Instructions, procedures, and company policies.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements :

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Qualifications :

• Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.
• Able to operate forklift.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk, push, reach overhead and bend to the floor.
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force regularly.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements over an extended period.
• Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds; objects up to 70 pounds occasionally
• Handling material with a variety of possible characteristics including hot, wet, sharp edges and burrs, oils, grease, and solvents.
