Federal Highway Administration is Hiring a Project Manamgenet Information Systems Specialist Near Vancouver, WA

The FHWA-Western Federal Lands (WFL) Division is hiring two positions with the Project Controls Team, located in Vancouver, WA.

Transportation Specialist – Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) Specialist, GS-2101-13

-Negotiable salary range is from $111,234 to $144,608 bonus.

Ideal Candidate Statement:

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background on transportation engineering and construction means and methods, including a strong understanding on the scheduling and project management aspects of delivering transportation projects. The ideal candidate will possess an expertise in managing a Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) that uses resource loaded schedules in Primavera P6 and custom reports developed in PowerBI.

Specialized Experience:

-Transportation projects during the project development and construction phases.

-Developing and managing a PMIS for a transportation engineering and construction focused organization.

-Using Primavera P6 Professional, P6 EPPM and P6 Team Member.

-Developing Microsoft PowerBI Reports.

-Developing and performing training on scheduling, budgeting and capacity planning.

-Analyzing and reporting on an organizations workload and their capacity to deliver work.

Transportation Specialist – Project Controls Analyst (PCA), GS-2101-11/12

- The negotiable salary range is from $78,044 to $101,454 for the GS-11 position, and $93,543 to $121,601 for the GS-12 position, bonus.

Ideal Candidate Statement:

The ideal candidate has project controls experience with a background on transportation engineering and construction means and methods, including an understanding on the scheduling and project management aspects of delivering transportation projects.

Specialized Experience:

-Using Primavera P6 Professional and/or P6 EPPM to help organizations manage resource loaded project schedules and budgets.

-Project Controls support to a portfolio of design-phase transportation engineering projects.

-Working with managers to schedule and plan projects, while also balancing workforce capacity and risk.

Additional Notes:

-Positions are not remote. However, both roles offer the flexibility to telework from home up to two days per week. Employees are required to report to the WFL office at 610 E 5th St, Vancouver, WA 98661, for the remaining days of the work week.

-Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus may be available.

-Annual Leave may be negotiable based on years of experience:

-Sick Leave is 13 days per year.

-Fully paid Parental Leave up to 12 weeks.

-5% employer match towards retirement.

-Federal Pension.
