Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team at a Podiatrist's Office in Warwick and Providence, RI. The Medical Office Assistant provides administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical scheduling, medical administrative support, and possess knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update electronic health records
- Assist with medical billing and insurance verification
- Provide administrative support for the doctor, including maintaining patient charts and records
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment
-Additional duties include: ordering supplies, assisting the doctor in managing patients, and escorting patients to examination rooms.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or medical assistant certification is preferred
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar healthcare setting is required
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly desirable
-Willingness to travel to both locations (Warwick, RI and Providence RI) is desirable.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential
Salary:
-Up to $18 per hour full-time. Negotiable based on experience
