Federation of Organizations is seeking a Full-Time Employment Specialist to work in the Supported Employment Program.
REPORTS TO: POWER Supervisor/ Senior Employment Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Supported Employment
HOURS: 35 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
Clean N.Y. State Driver’s license. Fingerprinting, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health, Suitable Determination clearance from Social Security, and all clearances from the Justice Center.
JOB FUNCTION:
Provide vocational skill development, support, and job placement assistance, resume writing to individuals who are homeless, in danger of becoming homeless, or who have a history of homelessness and have a mental health condition. Provide information, assistance and referrals to people who are homeless and in recovery from mental illness and/or co-occurring disorders. Work with the Outreach Team to conduct street outreach, assist in the food pantry and in developing activities and running an employment group during the Wednesday Evening Social.
