Job Description: Wetland Treatment Specialist / Biogeochemist / Botanist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wetland Treatment Specialist, Biogeochemist, or Botanist to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in the following areas:

Biogeochemistry: Apply knowledge of chemical coagulation processes to enhance nutrient removal from surface waters.

Wetland Treatment: Design, implement, and maintain artificially created water quality treatment wetlands.

Botany: Identify and document wetland plant species. Provide guidance on aquatic species that maximize water quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

Wetland Design and Maintenance:

Utilize coagulation chemistry experience to design, oversee implementation, and maintain artificially created water quality treatment wetlands.

Ecosystem Monitoring:

Conduct fieldwork to monitor and assess the health of wetland ecosystems.

Plant Species Identification:

Identify and document wetland plant species.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members to develop and implement wetland management plans.

Qualifications:

Master’s or PhD in a related field preferred.

Demonstrated expertise or education in coagulation chemistry and artificially created water quality treatment wetlands.

Thorough understanding of wetland plant species.

Enjoyment of fieldwork and a hands-on approach to work.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
