About the Opportunity : FedTec is looking for a highly motivated and selfstartingMicrosoft Office Development Support Technician to support theDaniel K.

Inouye AsiaPacific Center for Security Studies (DKIAPCSS) with the development maintenance and enhancement of theirMicrosoft Office 2016 and O365 applications.

Position : Microsoft Office DevelopmentSupport Technician

WorkLocation : Honolulu HI 96815

Client : Daniel K. Inouye AsiaPacific Center forSecurity Studies (DKI APCSS)

Security : Must be able to pass National AgencyCheck Local Agency Check and Local Credit Check (NACLCDNACI / NACI)

Certifications : Must Have Verifiable Security CE Certification

PrimaryResponsibilities

  • Provideexpertise in the development maintenance and enhancement ofMicrosoft Office 2016 and O365 applications with experiences inboth desktop applications and sever / client for APCSS users tomaximize the utilization of Microsoft Office applications anddevelop proficient workflow practices.
  • Develop& integrate existing Excel Spreadsheets and Access Databasesutilizing macros VBA Power Automate PowerBI and other complex dataextraction methods to optimize usage understanding data miningcapabilities to assist in reporting and analysis as well as ease ofuse for users
  • Optimize existing Excelworkbooks and Databases by removing excess formatting getting ridof s and recovering data from crashes
  • Utilizeapplications such as PowerBI and Power Automate to automateworkflows and increase workflow efficiencies
  • Upsize Access databases to SQL Server
  • Improve overall interface of Microsoft Officeapplications and connections into Microsoft Office SharePointServer 2010 / 2013
  • Test and document allapplications after each program upgrade or customization iscomplete
  • Provide Training to relevant users onOffice Applications and SharePoint
  • Maintaininventory of accountable property via DPAS (Defense PropertyAccountability System)

Basic Qualifications

  • Education : BA inInformation Technology or related discipline
  • Knowledge and Experience :
  • Knowledge and experience of IT standards principlesconcepts methods policies and approach for IT as well as a workingknowledge of a variety of applications including but not limitedto : all MS Office products such as Excel Access Forms Visio VisualStudio Teams Power Automate and PowerBI.

Additional applicationssuch as Adobe products SnagIt Snap Survey Smart Board IBM LotusForms Viewer etc.

  • Working knowledge of IT resourcesand infrastructure such as Microsoft Domain Controller File ServersExchange Servers SolarWinds & DPAS SharePoint Servers DatabaseServers Domain Name Services Servers etc.

and hardware such as DellOptiplex Desktop Computers and Dell Latitude and HP SurfacePros.

  • Knowledge of and experience in the useof oral and written communication methods and techniques toaccomplish continuing coordination with Center Customers andconduct / participate in IT training.
  • Knowledgeof prevailing practices in data automation to propose alternativeapproaches for resolving problems with computer systems peripheralsnetworks and / or telecommunication equipment.
  • Specialized Experience :
  • Customizing Excel models
  • Building sophisticated and userfriendly Excel templatesfor modeling and data entry.
  • Writingprofessional VBA code to automate tasks within ourprojects.
  • Salvaging problematicworkbooks
  • Enabling Spreadsheet models tocommunicate with database applications
  • Developing Excel addins
  • Developingand / or refining Database systems customizing Accessapplications.
  • Upsizing Access databases to SQLServer.
  • Programming MS Office applications forbetter interface with possible connections into MS OfficeSharePoint Server 2010 / 2013.
  • Develop fillableforms
  • Develop paperless workflowefforts
