With the fast-paced growth of better-for-you beverages, we have responded by building a diversified portfolio of functional drinks that meet the expanding range of consumer preferences. Responsibilities Environment: We are expanding our operation across the state in the beautiful 55,000 sq ft Century Mills building near Greenfield Lake. This will be a start-up environment for a time as we work to get operations up and running, and will be critical for this new HR role to be hands-on and support the team through fast-paced change and growth. This role will report to the Senior HR Manager, who is located in Marshall, NC, and will heavily support the Plant Manager at the new location in Wilmington. General Job Duties: Performs routine HR tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Facilitates new hire orientation. Administers employee recognition programs. Understands and executes payroll cycle, including collecting and reviewing time and attendance data, and processing payroll accurately and on time. Handles general employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of HR best practices , trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies in personnel & talent management and employment law. Other duties as assigned. Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities: We believe that every team member that steps foot in our production facility has a shared responsibility to speak up about any quality or safety-related observations or concerns. Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) policy when in the production facility and encourage your team to do the same. Understand our commitment to SQF (Safe Quality Food), and report any potential issues to the appropriate persons.
