FEECO International, Inc., a leading manufacturer of material processing/handling equipment is seeking a motivated individual to join our IT department as a Network Support Specialist.

As a Network Support Specialist you will be responsible for maintenance and day-to-day support of our information systems ensuring our hardware and software systems run smoothly and efficiently, as well as monitor and work employee support tickets and requests. This position requires a highly technical process oriented individual with innovative ideas and top-notch networking skills. This position offers the right person the ability to learn and develop their skillset providing an opportunity to advance within the IT department.

Essential Job Functions:

Continually Assess Computer System Efficiency and Needs

• Understanding of and experience with Active Directory & Domain architecture, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, NTFS permissions
• Understanding and experience using Cisco switches, routers, cabling and wiring needed to connect data and voice infrastructure
• Understanding of and experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems, Linux, Operating System security and best practices
• Understanding of and experience supporting web servers including servers, and threshold monitoring
• Understanding of and experience with backup software and recovery strategies
• Understanding of and experience with MS Office Suite of Products

Software Installation, Maintenance, and Training

• Desktop setup, configuration, and deployment
• Implement and manage 30 server environments across several operating systems
• Build and deploy Microsoft SQL servers
• Manage Office 365

Network Management and Support

• Establish and maintain user accounts, file sharing, access privileges and security
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot anti-spam, anti-virus and anti-intrusion servers and services
• Help desk duties and end user support
• Plan, design and implement data connectivity for local area network (LAN)
• Manage Systems Patching
• Practical understanding of network-routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, and VLANS

Hardware Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues
• Responsible for multiple companies’ IT infrastructure

Develop and Maintain a Contingency Plan

• Backup and disaster and recovery
• Manage virtual environments (VMware ESXI)

Promote and Develop Innovative Technology

• Cross Departmental Solutions Architect
• Write scripts to automate tasks
• Scripting: PowerShell, and Batch

Security

• Protect confidentiality of data
• Follows security architecture standards, frameworks, and guidelines. Emphasizes infrastructure security best practices and ensures adoption across corporate solutions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer sciences required; equivalent education and work experience may be considered
• Stays abreast of current new technology by attending seminars and continued education of new products and development

Experience

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in high level information services
• Minimum 1-2 years of systems management experience

Skills and Abilities

• Possess excellent oral and written communication
• Work effectively and efficiently with a high degree of accuracy with a variety of personalities.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills with high level of organization
• Ability to proficiently operate on a personal computer and Microsoft Office Software
• Ability to control day to day activities of computer systems
