1. SUMMARY: The Materials Supervisor oversees the materials, warehouse, and shipping department in lieu of the Supply Chain Manager during the off shift

1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the materials management process, including inventory control, purchasing, and logistics
• Serve as the point of contact for Customers and Suppliers during the offshift hours, communicating with Management and the Production lines to ensure deliveries, coordination of tasks between all departments and outside entities.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective materials management
• Manage the materials team, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing and production schedules as needed
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Prepare and present reports on materials management performance to senior management
• Ensure accuracy of inventory counts and investigate any discrepancies
• Report inventory levels to management
• Assist with inventory audits
• Identify and report any inventory or materials issues to management
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Strong Leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team

1. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

1. LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets basic instructions and required documents. Has the ability to respond and communicate complicated instruction and basic directions.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

1. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic mathematics.

1. REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation

Normal amount of sitting and standing, above average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.

• Works with all levels of employees as well as executive management.
• Also works with Fehrer Germany, Supply Chain, Accounting and Finance teams.
• Works with multiple suppliers, vendors, and customers.
• Works with outside financial auditors.
