The Accountant - A/P Generalist will serve as needed in all accounting areas and will specialize in areas of Accounts Payable.

- Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
- Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
- Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
- Complete full cycle payment process weekly; ensure accuracy for over 200 vendors each run.
- Assist with approving reports for payment, reviewing for accuracy and completion of required documentation.
- Respond to incoming field staff questions that are related to employee expense reports, vendor payment requests, and general financial statements.
- Maintain knowledge of W-9 forms, taxable fringe benefits, acceptable accounting practices, etc.
- Assist with other projects and ad hoc requests, as requested.
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects.
- Reliable technology and analytical abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; proficient working in l software programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with some college or certified training preferred but not required.
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred.
