The Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and compassionate environment. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct nursing staff on the 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Coordinate and oversee patient care activities, including medication administration, treatments, and assessments
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans
Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs and monitor staff performance
Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies
Handle any emergencies or critical incidents that may arise during the shift
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a long term care setting
Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
