Job Summary:
Federation Early Learning Services (FELS) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to lead our donor relations and fundraising initiatives. This role will shape the future of our organization by developing and executing fundraising campaigns, managing donor relationships, and enhancing our development function. The Director of Development will be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, contributing to our mission of providing high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies.
- Cultivate relationships with potential donors.
- Manage annual giving campaigns and special events (including our annual FELStival).
- Oversee grant writing and grant management.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board on fundraising efforts.
- Leverage digital tools and social media for donor engagement.
- Manage donor database and financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum five years experience in development, particularly in education-related or child-focused non-profits.
- Proven track record in grant writing and management.
- Proficiency with fundraising software and CRMs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel locally as needed.
