About the Company
Fennel is a seed stage AI/Data Infrastructure company built by an ex-Facebook team and is backed by top VCs and industry leaders like ex-CTO of Facebook, CEO of Microsoft Bing, and creator of Kafka. Fennel's primary product is realtime feature engineering platform which helps data scientists and ML engineers ship ML systems to production. Under the hood, this product is a new and powerful streaming compute engine - and our ambition is for all data pipelines in the future to be built using Fennel.
Despite being so young, Fennel is already making revenue and growing rapidly.
About the Role
We are looking for a marketing lead to join our small but mighty team of 12 people and bootstrap our marketing function. This is a full stack marketing role and will encompass everything from helping with positioning/messaging, bootstrapping nurture campaigns, building out content & community pillars, and lot more including paid acquisition, partnerships, influencer marketing - whatever the person in this role discovers to be useful to telling Fennel's story to developers throughout the world.
Cracking GTM is the #1 business problem for us and we believe that marketing could become a powerful lever for customer acquisition. As such, this is an important high impact role — you will work directly with the company CEO on a daily basis and have a large say in the overall company strategy. Fennel is also going open source soon and that further enlarges the opportunity to tell a compelling story to connect our product with the developer community and future customers. And you’ll be at the center of it.
In the beginning, this will primarily be an individual contributor role but over time, could evolve into a leadership role such that the rest of the marketing function is built around the person in this role.
Note: we are open to fully remote working from anywhere in the US or Canada. However, if you're based out of the Bay Area, you are also welcome to come to our office in Palo Alto / Menlo Park area some days a week.
