Fenner Dunlop (Toledo), LLC is Hiring a Support Services Technician Near Bluefield, VA

Fenner Dunlop is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Support Services Technician to join our Bluefield Support Services team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers, both within our organization and externally, receive top-notch support and services. Your primary responsibilities will include the provision and management of key products such as splice materials, inductive loops, and RFID tags. These components are essential for the functionality and efficiency of our conveyor systems and are integral to our service offerings. This position reports to the Director of Diagnostics & Bluefield Support Services.

For over 150 years, Fenner Dunlop has researched, designed, developed, manufactured, and tested its conveyor belting products, supporting nearly any type of conveyor application, and providing the right solutions to protect conveyor system investments in the harshest conveying environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare bulk splice materials and kits for fabric and steel cord belting.
  • Prepare inductive loops for internal and external customers.
  • Prepare RFID tags for internal and external customers.
  • Package and prepare shipping documentation for all hazardous materials in accordance to all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials and coordinate order requirements with SCM.
  • Maintain inventory of packaging/factory supplies and coordinate with designated personnel.
  • Set up jobs and date orders on E9 planning workbench.
  • Use and properly care for hand tools while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform responsibilities with limited supervision.
  • Practice immediate communication with the Supervisor concerning production issues to eliminate downtime.
  • Work safely at all times, and ensure that those around you do the same, both internally and externally, ensuring a strong safety culture throughout the workforce.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management. 

What You’ll Need

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs on a regular basis
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Capability to be adaptable to changing business needs
  • Ability to routinely stand, squat, and/or work in confined spaces
