Our growing family business is seeking a full-time, year-round General Manager to join our team and oversee our retail and agritourism operation at Ferguson’s Minnesota Harvest located in Jordan, MN, a short commute Southwest of the Twin Cities. We are open to the public in the fall with a large apple orchard, pumpkin patch, retail store/bakery, hard cider bar and more, but this is a full-time, year-round position which could begin immediately!

You will manage 80-100 employees in several departments, including retail sales, food/bakery, tour guides, bartenders, tractor drivers and more, as well as interact with customers in a positive, professional manner. Weekends from August 17 to November 3 are required. The remainder of the year, the typical work schedule will be weekdays only. Responsibilities:

- Hire, Train & Manage Seasonal Staff in Several Departments

- Organize Weekly Employee Work Schedules and Maintain Employee Hours

- Manage/Monitor Inventory

- Maintain Product Displays and Merchandising

- Troubleshoot Issues with Cash Register Systems and Other Systems

- Maintain Cleanliness in all Indoor and Outdoor Areas

- Ensure Food Safety Standards are Met

- Report to Owners

- Weekends from Aug. 17 to Nov. 3 are Required

- Off-Season Duties Include Various Projects and Preparations for the Following Fall

- Note – this is not an agricultural position and does not require farming knowledge

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Related Field Preferred

- Minimum of 2-3 Years of Management Experience in a Fast-Paced Tourism/Retail/Hospitality Industry

- Detail-Oriented, Organized & Able to Work Independently or as a Team

- Excellent Customer Service and Problem-Solving Skills

- Ability to Obtain Necessary Food and Beverage Certifications (ServSafe, Bartender’s License, etc.)

- Ability to Think Clearly and Remain Calm While Multitasking (peak fall days may experience 10,000 visitors)
