We have a dynamic opportunity for a Construction Estimator to join our rapidly growing National Construction Team. The goal would be for this individual to take the lead on building out scopes of work, estimates and data driven reporting for clients, along with working along side office and field staff, providing technical knowledge

Essential Functions

• Review construction documents and understand the scope of work to bid
• Execute take-offs of construction and paving documents; input them into computer spreadsheet
• Obtain pricing for materials for all jobs.
• Prepare cost analysis with online systems by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred
• Inform immediate Supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
• Create and maintain a cost history database
• Assessing the subcontractor levels of risk on a project
• Organize subcontractor bids review scopes of work to ensure bids meet project requirements
• Perform detailed quantity takeoff estimates for all trades
• Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner
• Analyze and evaluate bids from subcontractors
• Can visit sites and other venues as necessary to complete the project budget
• Have the ability to write bid scopes for the bidding process
• Additional duties could include, becoming inhouse expert on company specific technology and training office and field staff.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)

• Should have ground up construction estimating experience
• Ability to estimate for all aspects of projects
• Experience researching materials, equipment and other labor costs for the construction project
• Review project documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements
• Prepare Reverent and reliable construction budget forecasts
• Used project conceptual design, schematic design, and or design development trying to create conceptual estimates
• Have the ability to write bid scopes for the bidding process
• In-depth knowledge of construction project management
• Familiarity with computer programs such as blue beam, sage estimating, Procore, excel and Microsoft office
• Be able to multitask
• Be good with time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Someone who is eager to learn and grow with the company

The salary range and / or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

When determining a team member’s base salary and / or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 / year
