Logistics Manager Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job:

The Logistics Manager ensures that goods are moved from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively.

Plan, control, and implement the storage and flow of products, materials, information, or services.

Ensuring the Logistics Department operates smoothly with no delays, lost goods, or incidents preventing the customer from receiving their order.

The goal is to manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is a description, therefore not limited only to:

• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Identify project responsibilities, delegating phases and elements to appropriate personnel
• Strategically plan and manage logistics and warehouse
• Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes
• Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications
• Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as warehouse activities and logistics quality management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Two to Three years of experience in logistics for wholesale distribution or retail supply chain
• Strong system skills, including proficiency in integrating software applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of end-to-end logistics operations
