We are seeking Cashiers to join our team and provide outstanding service to our customers (which we refer to as guests). As a key part of our retail and grocery store team experience, you'll ensure every shopper leaves ready to “boomerang” back again.
Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day.
What You'll Do
As a Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts, ensuring each guest has a pleasant and efficient shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include
  • Engage with Guests Engage in friendly conversations, make eye contact, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.
  • Efficient Transactions Scan grocery items, process sales and efficiently, and handle monetary transactions with care.
  • Bagging with Care As needed, bag items thoughtfully to ensure products reach their destination in the condition they left our store.
  • Stay Informed Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively.
  • Maintain Order Keep your register station neat and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Communication Relay guest requests to the Guest Services leadership team as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Quality Standards Ensure all quality and quantity standards are met, especially during peak times at 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Teamwork Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
  • Honor Commitments Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
What We're Looking For To excel in the Cashier role at Festival Foods, you should have
  • Customer Service Skills Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service.
  • Retail Experience Ability to process information and merchandise transactions and hande cash and media at registers.
  • Communication Strong ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
  • Accuracy Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions.
  • Equipment Operation Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
  • Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

The Cashier position is flexible, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities. The work schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on your availability.
