**Job Overview:**

**Duties:**

- Deliver direct pediatric patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting.

- Conduct thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, collaborating with the healthcare team as needed.

- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information using electronic medical records systems.

- Adhere to ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications, and maintain an active RN license.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

- Utilize advanced skills such as critical care experience and cardiac catheterization when required.

- Demonstrate proficiency in essential nursing skills including catheterization, IV insertion, and patient care techniques.

**Qualifications:**

- Experience in critical care settings such as CVICU, OR, or hospital medicine.

- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infectious disease care.

- Knowledge of tube feeding, gastric lavage, and dementia care.

- Ability to work with individuals requiring hospice palliative medicine or memory care.

- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system is a plus.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
