Frazer and Jones are looking to add a 2 nd Shift Sand Tester to our Foundry operations. In this role you will work independently to record and maintain foundry sand chemistry to ensure quality castings. This position works with both the Quality Control and Foundry teams throughout the plant.
Job Essential Functions

• Performs all required foundry sand testing and records and enters the data into the GSPC System.
• Follows all laboratory sample preparation procedures needed to qualify production releases.
• Maintains accurate recordkeeping for the traceability of all test results per the quality management system.
• Adheres to all relevant safety standards such as following proper personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and other directives.
• Operates a variety of bench-type machines such as a grinder, polisher and/or press.
• Adjusts sensitive equipment such as telescopes, spectrometers, and hardness testers to get accurate readings.
• Other duties as assigned by the foreman and/or manager.

EducationHigh school diploma or GED, or the ability to understand fundamental English. Must be able to handle mathematical operations such as multiplication, division, converting fractions to whole numbers or decimals. Must have basic understanding of computer data entry and associated programs.
Working Hours And Conditions

• 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday 2:00 PM through 10:30 PM.
• 8-hour shift assigned, may be assigned overtime via extension of shift or additional shifts.
• Works in-person, this position cannot be done remotely.
• Works in a foundry setting and may be exposed to environmental conditions such as varying temperatures from hot to cold and irritants such as dust, sand, noise, etc.

Pay And Benefits

• $20.97 - $22.81
• 2nd Shift receives $0.45 per hour differential.
