Position Description:
Designs and develops Java-based Restful services using Cloud technologies -- Amazon Web Service (AWS) and PCF. Designs, develops, and maintains dynamic software products and solutions. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business unit. Participates in the design and implementation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions. Leads, influences, and motivates the team on software product by analyzing and transforming the knowledge of product features. Uses technical knowledge and experience to collaborate with other teams on the development of internal trading and portfolio management systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Engages with engineering teams on system design (architecture, design, and test plan) reviews to capture systems and technical design and requirement documentation.
• Engages with users and stakeholders to provide efficient technology, business performance, and cost reduction solutions for development of product.
• Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle -- requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the functionality.
• Establishes processes and procedures for system validation testing to drive quality.
• Suggests improvements for the product design and development.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and deploying Java-based Web applications in a High Yield and Credit Alternative Asset Management environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, IT Product Management (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and deploying Java-based Web applications in a High Yield and Credit Alternative Asset Management environment.
