Fidelity Investments Careers is Hiring a Director Product Management, Fidelity Health Emerging Products Near Boston, MA

Job Description:

The Role

Are you a self-starter with "investigative journalist" skills? Do you thrive in an environment where you can influence leaders and peers, and synthesize data to share insights in ways that are meaningful?

We are seeking a Director, Product Management to play a central role in sourcing and driving the exploration of new revenue opportunities for a rapidly growing, core area of focus for Fidelity! If you have the ability to think creatively, the curiosity to dig deeper, and you’re not afraid to ask questions or try new ways of doing things this could be your next role!

As part of the Emerging Products team, the Director will work alongside Strategy, Competitive Intelligence, Product, and Technology leaders to source, evaluate and assess new areas of opportunity for Fidelity in health care. In addition, your work will bring you in frequent contact with a wide variety of partners throughout Fidelity, external contacts at potential vendors, and other industry leaders and influencers. Your mission is to provide a constant flow of new ideas to seed Fidelity’s Scan-Try-Scale model, provide expert analysis and recommendations on which concepts to pursue, and to drive selected concepts to incubation.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of health care or related experience, including fluency in the roles, priorities and influence of major stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating new business models and opportunities (e.g., experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, corporate development)
  • Proven ability in taking complex topics and making them digestible
  • Experience leading and managing large, cross-functional projects
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship skills
  • Project management expertise with a bias towards effective execution

The Value You Deliver

In this role you will lead the organization’s structured and focused approach to sourcing and evaluating new opportunities to expand our footprint in the health care space. You will partner with stakeholders to bring the best and most innovative ideas to the forefront for consideration. You will develop a strong understanding of our brand, our products, and our customers to inform where we have permission to play. You will present ideas in an elevator pitch, in a five-minute hallway chat, and in a dedicated session with senior executives. You are confident enough to understand that some of your best ideas will go nowhere for reasons beyond your control, and redirect your energy to those that get traction. You will provide keen insights and advice on how to take the seed of an idea all the way through execution. You will be an effective advocate for our best ideas and an honest critic of the ones that are not so good. You are comfortable being challenged by senior leaders and know how to translate those questions and challenges into effective and impactful research. You represent the firm and our team well in discussions, including negotiations, with potential business partners.
