Fidelity Instiutional Technology requires an Application Support Engineer for Production Excellence squad. The team builds and modernizes applications to support domestic and international lending. The squad member will work on production stability initiatives, disaster recovery, and monitoring of distributed applications.

The Value You Deliver

Provide production support, engaging squads to address issues. Provide production monitoring data to Chapter Area Lead, Product Owners and Chapter Leads to assess stability and performance. Deliver quality technology solutions to sophisticated business issues in an agile environment. Collaborate with internal and external product teams to deliver a cohesive solution.

The Skills that are Key to this role

• TechnicalAbility to perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and fixing reported issues and perform mitigation steps when possible
• Hands on experience in the technology stack – SQL, Java, RESTful Web Services, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, Windows and Linux OS, and ServiceNow
• Willingness to learn/experience with: supporting and developing PowerBI Dashboards for Production Support Monitoring
• Basic knowledge of AWS features and components / containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, cloud deployment tools
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles is required
• Experience with application performance monitoring and alerting tools like ITRS Geneos, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Jmagic, and Datadog
• Experience using job scheduler tools like Autosys and Control-M
• Solid experience understanding patterns, micro-services, messaging/event driven frameworks and enterprise databases
• Assist with root cause analysis process and provide feedback
• Handle Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) Top Initiatives reporting and collaboration.
• Exposure to messaging or and streaming frameworks including Kafka, MQ, JMS

• Non-Technical (Soft) Skills:You have a passion for technology and can navigate your way across sophisticated and constantly evolving landscapes by staying on top of the latest trends and thrive by sharing knowledge.
• Proactive: ability to observe developing issues and understand criticality, risk involved, triage as needed
• Collaborative: work in partnership with development and product support to resolve issues
• Creative: promote and foster an environment of innovation to deliver solutions to market which help improve scale and efficiency, business growth and investment performance.
• Works well under pressure and have a proven track record of delivering quality software.

• TheSkills that are Good to Have for this role:Experience with test automation (unit, component, integration, and functional tests)
• Trading domain experience with exposure to brokerage operations
• Understanding of SRE principles

• The Expertise We’re Looking ForPerforming as a proactive, communicative, engaged Production Support Engineer within an agile environment
• Strong fundamentals in computer science
• Financial services experience preferred.

Dynamic Working

At Fidelity TalentSource, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we call “Dynamic Working.” Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity location for at least one week, 5 consecutive days, every four weeks.
