Site Facilities Manager

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to keep the park in show ready condition. The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the park and the dinosaurs located in Overpeck County Park in Leonia, NJ.

The Site Manager is responsible for the maintenance, care and repairs of the exhibition and park, including dinosaurs and interactive displays, sound, electrical equipment, restrooms, landscaping and other minor mechanical apparatuses. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and maintain all installations of getting the park ready for the season
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the park, including site staff, maintenance, and administrative tasks
  • Manage the upkeep of dinosaurs, equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect the dinosaurs, tents and office structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling contractors, overseeing work orders, and ensuring timely completion
  • Supervise all site staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, etc.) and external contractors
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, deliveries, etc.
  • Inventory control

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or relevant position
  • Carpentry
  • Hand tools, drills, edgers/blowers, mowers
  • Some computer skills needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • Leadership
  • Qualifications and licenses in operating heavy equipment and machinery and electrical/wiring experience is a plus.
  • Must be in good physical condition to work in an outdoor park with the ability to lift on average at least 50lbs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Candidates must have a valid driver's license. The nature of outdoor work requires considerable physical effort and occasional exposure to rain, seasonal elements and some adverse working conditions. Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

This position is full-time seasonal April through November. The Site Manager reports to the Park Manager.

We offer competitive compensation based on experience, starting at $923 per week. Some overtime required.
