Business System Analyst (Internship/Temp Summer Position)

Filimatic is seeking a temporary Business System Analyst to assist our new ERP and Information Systems Manager in identifying and mapping out our infrastructure. Leveraging your technical knowledge of switches, routers, ports, and equipment you will diligently document each piece of equipment and its location. This information will then be utilized to create a comprehensive network map of all our technological infrastructure. This role is anticipated to run through the middle of August or take approximately 6 – 8 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Document each piece of technology equipment, including access port information in each room throughout our facility.
• Clearly organize the information and capture detailed information such as types of equipment, model numbers, and IP addresses associated with each location.
• Assist in translating the complex data into visual format/map that provided insights into the infrastructure design and equipment.
• Utilize various tools for tracking and mapping such as Excel, Visio and Adobe products.

Qualifications

• College level coursework in Business Information Systems, IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of technology infrastructure layout and equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in collecting, documenting, and organizing large amounts of data in a way that can be analyzed and utilized for multiple purposes.
• Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Excel and other programs such as Visio, Adobe Products, or other software utilized to capture and analyze data.
