Overview
The Assistant Group leader supports and assists staff in carrying out all planned enrichment and recreational activities for after school program in the Bronx
Reports to: Program Director
Location: 2100 Monterey Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457
Hours: Monday to Friday / Weekend Program - maximum 18 hours per week
SALARY: $16/hr
Major Duties:

• Assist the group leader with activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft and special events.
• Collect attendance folder and other data.
• Distribute lunches and snacks and assist with clean-up.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program.
• Support activity instructor with lessons.

Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with other youth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
