Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the development, updating, and maintenance of assigned project schedules. Responsible for managing the schedule files system and posting and reporting of schedules and resource plans as required. Responsible for overseeing the configuration of EVM data within the assigned project schedules as required. Responsible for standardization of schedules and EVM data within guidelines established by Scheduling Manager and Master Scheduler.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assure development and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Aid in development and maintenance work center master schedules.
  • Assist and Maintain Supplemental Schedule(s) supporting the project(s).
  • Develop and maintain long-range production resource plans.
  • Adhere to scheduling and resource planning standards.
  • Develop and maintain schedule-related EVM data and documents
  • Directly supervise the work of the Project Scheduler(s) assigned to him/her.
  • Aid in development and maintenance of schedule-related EVMS data and documents.
  • Communicate internally and externally to respond to information recipient of both customers and stakeholders.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 1 to 3 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and at least two (2) years of related experience, an Associate's degree and at least four (4) years of related experiene, or a High School diplomand at least six (6) years of related experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is required or at least three years of progressive responsibility with a Planning department.
  • Experience in a complex multi-product, build-to-order production environment creating project and master schedules and resource plans is favored.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and network scheduling software (Primavera), preferred.
  • Working knowledge of EVM, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work in both an office and an industrial environment.
  • Prefer knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material flow, and production processes.
  • Prefer knowledge of Navy and Coast Guard scheduling and performance reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material processing, basic shipbuilding knowledge and production processes is preferred along with knowledge of Navy and Coast Guard scheduling.
