Find Great People | FGP is Hiring a CNC Programmer Near Greenville, SC

We are seeking a skilled CNC CAD/Programmer with experience in sheet metal fabrication to join our team. This role requires proficiency in CAD software, particularly Solidworks, and hands-on experience in modeling, designing, and drafting for sheet metal applications. The ideal candidate will also have programming expertise with Trumpf or Amada lasers and punch press machines. This role is onsite and must be local to the Greenville area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CAD and Design: Create and modify CAD drawings and models using Solidworks or similar software. Design sheet metal components and assemblies according to project requirements.
  • Programming: Develop CNC programs for Trumpf or Amada laser and punch press machines. Optimize programs for efficiency and accuracy in production.
  • Sheet Metal Expertise: Apply knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques, including layout, bending, cutting, and welding processes.
  • Project Management Support: Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Assist in estimating sheet metal assemblies and providing input on manufacturing feasibility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in CAD/Solidworks modeling and design, specifically for sheet metal applications.
  • Proficiency in programming CNC machines, specifically Trumpf or Amada lasers and punch press.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes, including layout, bending, and assembly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in estimating sheet metal assemblies is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
