Find Great People | FGP is Hiring an Executive Director Near Myrtle, SC

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the organization’s annual plan. Identify and evaluate emerging bills and issues at the local, state and federal levels.
  • Ensure effective implementation of strategic initiatives and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Daily communication with state and federal lobbyists to monitor existing issues and identify new priorities and communicate to the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee contractor CFO to develop and manage the organization’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Implement effective PAC fundraising strategies to secure funding sources and manage donor relationships.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization
  • Organize the Board and set up quarterly meetings with agenda and financial updates with the support of the CFO
  • Attend monthly meetings of local Municipal Council meetings to monitor policies discussed and report back to Executive Committee. At least 50% of meetings must be in person.
  • Manage weekly meetings with the Executive Committee, providing guidance, information and support.
  • Collaborate with the Board to develop policies, bylaws, and governance procedures.
  • Provide regular updates to the Board on organizational activities, financial status and progress towards goals.
  • Represent the organization in the community, fostering relationships with elected leaders, partners, and donors.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to raise funds for political action committees: statewide, lodging, golf, and restaurants.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and communications to raise awareness of the organization’s mission on website and collateral materials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the non-profit sector. Strong strategic planning and implementation skills.
  • Excellent financial management and budgeting abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising and donor relations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of relevant public policy issues.
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
