A client in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Store Manager to join their growing team. This would be a full-time position in Charleston with pay starting at $60k (based on experience). The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in a department store. Responsibilities: The Store Manager is responsible for the complete operations, sales volume, and profitability of the total store. Provides leadership and supervision for the Assistant Manager and store personnel.
Delegate through others. Set an example for the store.
Communicate with employees, customers, and corporate officials
Uphold company policies and procedures
Allocate a monthly budget for department work schedules
Process reports
Recruit and hire new employees
Implement training procedures to develop new employees
Evaluate current employees
Practice and teach customer service techniques
Merchandise the sales floor
Shop the competition/ keep abreast of fashion trends
Work in conjunction with the Loss Prevention Department to monitor financial department, stockroom, dressing rooms, etc. for security concerns
Promote the image of Hamrick’s by practicing good public relations
Discipline of employees
Daily accountability of sales performance
Personnel motivation and team building
Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
Business related or Fashion Merchandising degree and 3 years of retail management preferred.
Organization and time management skills are required.
Must be comfortable with vigorous amounts of bending, standing, and lifting.
