Facility Overview:

Our cutting-edge, 40,000 square foot facility in Bloomfield, CT, it is currently under construction, and is set to become a benchmark in the cannabis industry. This state-of-the-art complex will encompass cultivation, processing, and manufacturing operations, designed to meet and exceed industry standards. Equipped with the latest technology and innovative practices, our facility aims to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in our production processes. Once completed, it will serve as a model of excellence for Connecticut Cannabis reinforcing our commitment to delivering premium products.

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operational activities within the Bloomfield, CT facility. This includes overseeing cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, compliance, and quality control processes. The role involves strategic planning, resource management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. This General Manager role in the cannabis industry requires a dynamic and strategic leader who can navigate the complexities of a highly regulated and evolving market while ensuring operational excellence and business growth.

Operational Strategy:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage operational budgets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and ways to improve resource utilization.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure financial targets are met.
Staff Training and Management:
  • Hiring, training, and managing production manager and staff.
  • Developing and implementing training programs to ensure employees are knowledgeable about production processes and safety protocols.
Cultivation and Manufacturing Oversight:
  • Manage cultivation and manufacturing operations to ensure optimal yield, product quality, and compliance with state regulations.
  • Collaborate with cultivation and production teams to implement best practices.
Facility Management:
  • Oversee full construction, architectural design and build-out of new production facility.
  • Manage the overall production facility, including equipment, infrastructure, and workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute insights for overall business development.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
  • Stay up to date on cannabis regulations and ensuring that production processes adhere to legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participating in audits to maintain compliance.
Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the consistency and safety of cannabis products.
  • Monitor and addressing any issues related to product quality and compliance.
Inventory Management:
  • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
  • Implement systems to track and manage inventory, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock levels.
Research and Development:
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to explore and implement new cultivation and production techniques.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in cannabis production.
Product Development and Innovation:
  • Collaborate with product development teams to introduce new cannabis products.
  • Drive innovation in production processes to enhance product quality and differentiation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
  • Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and other operational tools.
