Who We Are Looking For

Our Network Administrator position requires a flexible individual that is comfortable working with both our network and server environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in communication, teamwork, and problem solving, in addition to possessing at least three years of relevant experience in each of the areas listed in the next section.

What It Takes (some or all)

• System administration
• On prem windows server OS stack (2012R2-2022)
• Virtualization technology (Hyper-V, VMware, etc.)
• Network administration/design
• Create and manage Powershell scripts
• Security administration which may include any of the following:
• Firewall
• IPS
• Web security gateways
• EDR / MDR
• VPNs
• Management of a windows domain leveraging the following technologies:
• AD
• DNS
• DHCP
• GPO
• Experience hardening either operating systems, networks, or applications
• Willing to provide mentorship
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to coordinate between development and infrastructure teams
• Ability to provide afterhours/production support for emergencies or scheduled maintenance which cannot occur during business hours

Nice to Have

• 365 administration
• Azure administration
• Backup administration (Veeam)
• Documentation / Process Management skills
• Server storage / SAN administration
• Patch management (WSUS/SCCM)
• Experience with network / system monitoring or SEIM technologies
• Knowledge of Linux
• Knowledge of Containerization technologies

What YOU Will Be Doing

• Leverage Powershell to further automate changes within our environments
• Design and maintain corporate networks
• Develop and implement VLAN configuration
• Recommend and configure network and server hardware
• Administrate Watchguard firewall and VPN tunnels
• Manage virtualization clusters (Hyper-V)
• Lead networking projects
• Perform high level helpdesk duties
• Participate in on call afterhours support rotation
• Support production infrastructure, as needed
• Complete afterhours maintenance, as required
