POSITION OBJECTIVE
Chick-fil-A 101 & Telephone and Chick-fil-A Riverpark Oxnard are currently in search of an Executive Director of People who will provide high level leadership and dedication to internal hiring, training, leadership development, and culture. Additionally, this leader will ensure HR and legal compliance across the organization while also leading the administrative team and facilitating tasks such as benefits administration, invoicing, and payroll. The primary focus of this role will be strategic coordination and oversight of the core People functions of the business while partnering with the Owner/Operator to support the Operations team at a high level. The Executive Director of People will have the opportunity to be intentionally developed for long-term success and growth with Chick-fil-A.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure a world-class training system where Team Members feel fully equipped to perform their job at the highest level
  • Model core values to positively impact team and culture
  • Ensure all Team Member onboarding, training and accountability are being executed with excellence
  • Ensuring full compliance with all local, state and federal laws including but not limited to employment law
  • Respond to employment related requests from EDD, Workers comp and other important stakeholders
  • Leading the Administrative Team in completing all office related tasks such as: reviewing employee time records, processing bi-weekly payroll, etc.
  • Leading the Marketing Team in accomplishing marketing objectives including: increasing capacity, growing sales, growing profitable channels, and connecting with the community including nonprofits and schools.
  • Demonstrate an outstanding ability to be a team player and work well with members of the executive team
  • Show a passion for and understanding of the Chick-fil-A brand and the desire to be an advocate for the brand
  • Read and understand financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress towards unit goals and lead others to meet those objectives
  • Be a self-leader, committed to personal growth
  • Have a deep understanding of restaurant operations and management of hourly employees
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills sufficient to speak with and write to persons of various social, cultural, economic and ethnic backgrounds to develop effective working relationships and resolve problems
  • Be a superb project and program manager, able to assess needs, set a vision, prioritize appropriately, present creative solutions, develop action plans, and execute and measure results
  • Have an ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and follow through on multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and in a timely manner
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 4 - 6 years of leadership experience is required
  • Demonstrates humility and a servant leadership mentality and is willing to lead by example.

  • Empathetic and dependable, with a strong commitment to the team.
  • Experience handling HR issues in accordance with California employment laws

  • Experience developing or coaching people and facilitating plans for this
