FireStarters Recruiting is Hiring an Occupational Health Nurse LPN Near Fayetteville, NC

You must currently be licensed to practice in the state of employment, administer direct care of employees with professional expertise according to medical directives and within the scope of practice and regulations of the State Nurse Practice Act, while working under direct supervision of the Occupational Health Manager or Supervisor. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 include the following. Other duties may be assigned 

1.Deliver direct care for employees at site according to medical directives within the scope of practice and regulations of the State Nurse Practice Act in the applied state. Adheres to health management policies, protocols, medical directives, and physician standing orders according to scope of practice.

2.Provide compassionate, quality care to team members.

3.Adheres to all state and federal regulations including OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, etc. Adheres to HIPAA compliance of confidentiality of employees’ personal health information.

4.Participates in health and safety teaching of team members.

5.Establishes and maintains good working relationships with departmental staff, complex management, supervisory staff, local healthcare providers, and third party administrator (TPA).

6.Conducts all assigned and additional job tasks within legal, ethical, and moral standards of care in a professional and effective manner.

7.Maintains accurate documentation and assists in departmental medical records upkeep. Provides appropriate documentation of all care provided in a professional and effective manner.

8.Keeps department clean and orderly.

9.Notifies Occupational Health Manager and designee of any pertinent physical and emotional changes of symptoms presented by employees.

10.Other duties assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

· High School Diploma Required

· Associate Degree of Nursing / Diploma Nursing Degree Required

· Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of experience

· Must be on call one weekend a month

· Must be able to work other hours/shifts as needed

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONCurrent LPN license in state of employment. Must obtain certification in urine drug screen and breath alcohol collections. Current CPR / First Aid /AED card required.

MaintenanceManager

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Directs and coordinates, through subordinate supervisors, activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of mill, industrial plant, or other establishments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and to recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment. Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
  • Directs training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures maximum efficient operations of facilities and equipment, as well as the care of all grounds and support equipment, through the direction of a technical support staff made up of supervisors, technicians, custodians, and the purchase of necessary outside technical and non-technical support services.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  • Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
  • Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  • Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  • May prepare department budget and monitor expenditure of funds in budget.

EDUCATION:

Typically requires an Associates Degree or completion of Vocational/Technical specialty certification/licensure program in a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience. DIRECTLY RELATED work experience will be accepted on a year-for-year basis in lieu of the educational requirement.

REFRIGERATION MANAGER This position manages and coordinates the activities of the Refrigeration and Boiler Departments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Schedules powerhouse and refrigeration personnel to maintain the department for optimal facility operation.• Prepares and supervises preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to maintain all systems under the powerhouse and ammonia refrigeration departments.• Reviews utilities reports.• Addresses issues that arise which could adversely impact the operational performance of the facility.• Insures that all OSHA, PSM standards are maintained in a timely and accurate manner.• Trains personnel in proper operation of equipment and works toward RETA certification for all reports.• Manages and maintains the maintenance budget for refrigeration.• Ensures all systems are operated in compliance with OSHA, ASHRAE, and PSM policies and procedures.• Schedules work crews for 24 hour coverage.• Oversees all projects related to the plant ammonia system.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of technical school training or high school with comparable experience. BS/BA Degree in Applied Sciences such as Poultry Science, Animal Science or Biology preferred.BASIC SKILLS:• Prefer a minimum of 5 - 10 years in ammonia refrigeration experience.• RETA certification a plus. • Must have demonstrated ability to train and supervise subordinates. • Must be able to work well with management personnel. • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
