ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
- Integral part of the month end close process
- Prepares various balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries
- Performs variance analysis on multiple general ledger accounts
- Assists with outside auditors; gathers and prepares necessary account information and documents to perform audits
- Payroll related accounting and accruals
- Experience in fixed asset and lease accounting
- Performs monthly inventory reconciliations and related adjustments
- Reviews other staff workpapers
- Assists with annual budget preparation
- Sets up payments on banking website
- Monitors and develops best practices as to accounting practices and processes
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving
- Experience with an ERP system a plus
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or similar field of study and 2 years working experience in an accounting department with increasing responsibility
- CPA license or CPA candidate required
- Experience in payroll and payroll related accounting a plus
- Ability to operate and use a PC computer, proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Business Central accounting software
- Knowledge of basic finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control
- Self-starter and an ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative, act promptly and be proactive
- Positive attitude, strong relationship building skills, and detail oriented

- Salary Range: $65,000-95,000/year
