Business Attorney

About the Role

Responsibilities Include:

• Advising clients on business formation, corporate governance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
• Representing clients in business-related disputes, including negotiations, mediations, and litigation.
• Developing and implementing sound legal strategies tailored to clients’ needs and business objectives.
• Preparing and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through exceptional communication, professionalism, and trust.
• Collaborating with colleagues to deliver seamless, high-quality legal services in one of the region’s most respected business law practices.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia State Bar license (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business law, including corporate governance, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters effectively and achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of building lasting professional relationships.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, professionalism, and collaboration.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience advising businesses on regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with a history of favorable results in contract disputes and other business-related legal challenges.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to legal practice.

This role offers a competitive compensation package and significant potential for growth based on performance. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and the scope of responsibilities.
