This non-exempt (hourly) position is responsible for general loan servicing tasks, including the booking and ongoing servicing of all loan types.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform new loan input and second review of loans booked.
• Perform general loan servicing tasks, which include preparing payoff letters, reviewing daily reports, initiating wire transfers and loan disbursements.
• Interpret loan documents in order to accurately book loan transactions in a timely manner.
• Service incoming lender and customer requests for loan transactions, account research, problem resolution, and loan account maintenance.
• Respond to customer and lender inquiries in a timely manner.
• Input balanced and accurate transactions to customers and general ledger accounts.
• Monitor and update insurance records for loans as needed.
• Practice and uphold basic loan accounting standards.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of banking experience required.
• 1 year of loan servicing or loan operations experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively correspond with internal bank employees, outside vendors, and external customers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 required.
• Knowledge of Financial Processing core systems preferred.
• Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions and training facilities may be required.
• Typical scheduled hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Additional hours may be necessary upon business needs.
• Punctuality is required to maintain First American Bank’s customer service standards.
