Summary: The VP, Manager of Culture and Employee Experience focuses on creating a positive, engaging, and productive work environment for employees. They work to enhance the overall employee experience by understanding their needs, facilitating communication, and implementing initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and satisfaction.
Job Functions
  • Designs, implements, and manages employee engagement programs and initiatives to increase employee satisfaction, motivation, and overall engagement. This can include organizing team-building activities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and employee feedback mechanisms.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the organization. This includes collaborating with different departments to ensure new employees have the necessary resources, training, and support to integrate into the organization successfully.
  • Conducts orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Manages the offboarding process, conducts exit interviews and gathers feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversees the DISC training program to ensure it aligns with organizational goals and improves team dynamics. This includes the administration of DISC assessments to employees and conducting individual and/or group DISC training sessions to enhance the understanding and application of DISC principles. Stays informed about new research and trends in DISC and other personality assessments to improve training programs.
  • Assists with internal communication strategies to ensure clear and consistent messaging across the organization. Uses a variety of channels such as newsletters, intranet, and business unit meetings to disseminate information, updates, and important announcements to employees.
  • Creates mechanisms to collect and analyze employee feedback and sentiments. Designs and administers surveys to gather insights on employee satisfaction, work environment, and areas of improvement.
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancing work-life balance, managing stress, and promoting a healthy workplace culture and develops initiatives that promote employee health and well-being.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of employee experience initiatives and programs. Actively researches industry trends and best practices and works closely with HR leadership to continuously refine and enhance initiatives and activities that align with organizational goals and will keep employees motivated and connected to the company culture.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the formal education requirement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee engagement, employee development, and DISC or other personality assessments.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful employee engagement strategies.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Certified DISC practitioner preferred.
Skills And Competencies
  • Strong understanding of employee engagement and organizational culture principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, measure and report on training effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with employee feedback tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other employee engagement software.
Physical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Work ArrangementThis position is remote/hybrid with the expectation to report to the office on a routine basis. Candidates must be able to commute to Osage Beach, MO as required.
