JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

SUMMARY:
Individual enhances the Bank's human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and applicable polices, programs and practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Plan, organize and oversee all activities in the department. Participate in developing department and company goals and objectives.
•Ensures recruitment functions including new employee orientations are consistent and follow the Bank's procedures.
•Establish and monitor career-pathing program working with various department managers.
•Review and make recommendations for improvement of the Bank's HR policies, procedures and practices; communicates changes and ensures proper compliance.
•Perform benefits administration including enrollment, evaluation of plan design, censuses; works closely with the Bank's insurances representatives.
•Promote organizational development including training, team building and coaching to ensure high performance and exceptional customer service.
•Implement and manage the compensation program, and review annual compensation surveys and develop a budget.
•Design, develop and monitor the performance evaluation program and revise and necessary.
•Develop and maintain the affirmative action program; file EEO-1 annually; and maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
•Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislations to ensure compliance.
•Manage employment records and update as needed.
•Counsel managers and assist with HR-related matters.
•Facilitate payroll process.
•Manage FMLA leave, including notices and follow-up.
•Create and modify position descriptions as necessary.
•Attend seminars and other training events to stay current in profession and explore best practices.
•Participate in team meetings, on committees and special projects.
•Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
•Comply with all requirements, policies and procedures of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and attend all mandatory BSA training as needed for this position. Additionally required to complete all required compliance and regulatory training, not limited to BSA.
•Assume and accomplish other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required, as well as the ability to develop and execute strategies.
•Must be highly motivated, patient and optimistic, and must be passionate about helping others succeed.
•Possess a working knowledge of computers, including experience with Microsoft Office and the internet.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in human resource management and a minimum of four years of related experience. SHRM certification and/or banking experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position may require individual to perform repetitive motion in operating equipment such as keyboard, calculator or other bank/office-related machinery. While performing duties the employee may have to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Position requirements may be, but are not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, bending, talking, hearing and communicating. The physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Valid driver's license and ability to be insured required if driving.
•Position requires attendance at meetings.
•Some travel is expected for this position. However, travel is primarily local and during the business day.
•Employees are responsible for the upkeep/organization of their work area and in cooperation with others in shared areas.
