Summary:

We are looking for a responsible custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The main responsibilities for this position will be to prepare and clean the cafeteria before and after hot lunch meals, and other duties, as assigned. The ideal candidate will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.
Specific Responsibilities:

• Set up the Lower School Cafeteria for hot lunch by checking sanitation supplies and setting up/wiping tables, etc. Clean the cafeteria after all lunches are completed.
• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Report major damages
• Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting up the alarm
• Assist with event set up/ tear down by preparing tables and chairs for any event scheduled at the facility, and be available to staff the event
• Performs related duties, as assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge of use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• High school diploma is preferred but not required
• Good customer service
