First Call Staffing is looking for Inspectors for Day & Night shift in White House, TN!

Shift Times:

7am - 7pm

7pm - 7am

Job Duties:

1. Reads shop order to determine bag specifications, correct put up, and supplies
2. Inspects production to ensure bags are made to shop order specifications.
3. Reworks poor quality on the machine as soon as defects are discovered
4. Reworks reclaimable bags in the department as assigned
5. Stacks bags with a neat pattern that avoids wrinkles and deformation.
6. Reads shop order to determine order status.
7. Assists operator in keeping machine running during machine change.
8. Keeps inspection tables cleared and clean; assists operator in housekeeping duties.
9. Completes all production and rework reports in an accurate and timely manner.
10. Ensures packing supplies are ready at machine startup; keeps all paperwork, tools, and supplies organized to avoid wasting time looking for them.
11. Communicates promptly to operator and other crewmembers any quality defects.
12. Ensures that only poor quality is disposed.
13. Ensures that uncertain quality receives Q. A. and Supervisor’s review/approval.
14. Keeps area (table surfaces and floors) neat and orderly at all times.
15. Assists operator in ongoing housekeeping duties on and around machine.
16. Follows all Safety Rules of the company.
17. Communicates unsafe acts or conditions to shift supervisor.
18. Assists shift supervisor in scheduling safety training for crew members.
19. Assists machine operator in the performance of related quality tests including slide angle, hot melt tests for the customer and manufacturing closures, string length, fold squareness, and fiber tear as required by the customer. These tests are the responsibility of the operator, but assistance from the packaging utility inspector may be required at peak production times.
