Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. This position is based in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take patient vital signs, record medical history, and update patient charts
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
- Provide medical administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records.
- Assist with patient education and provide instructions for at-home care
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record patient information
- Excellent interpersonal skills for providing exceptional patient service and care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification preferred
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant is advantageous but not required
