What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant I position at First City Credit Union?
The Staff Accountant I will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Reconciles the Zelle Recon daily.
- Post and reconcile the FRB and FHLB daily account activity daily.
- Posts the daily Money Order settlement.
- Balances the Teller/ATM/Vault change funds and reviews the applicable general ledger accounts daily.
- Post daily entries and reconciles the ATM and GLs.
- Processes and submits daily DMI wire.
- Prepares invoice tracking report of Valera and Voyix for card processing and online banking charges.
- Prepares month end reconciliations as assigned.
The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:
- One to three years of accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes and principles
- Two-year college degree or specialized course of study preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office application skills specifically Word and intermediate/advanced Excel skills
- Detail oriented and accurate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact and consult effectively with members and staff
