Who we are looking for:

First Eagle is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the High Yield Muni Credit team and be based in Chicago.

What you will do:

• Follow industry trends and developments in the Municipal sector
• Perform credit analysis and conduct research using a bottom-up fundamental analysis to build out an inventory of higher yielding tax-free Municipal bonds
• Support and collaborate with other research team members to produce industry outlooks that influence and inform strategic and tactical investment opportunities
• Perform in-depth credit analysis on individual securities, incorporating portfolio goals and relative value into all investment recommendations
• Research potential changes in the tax policies and accounting treatment of municipal issuers

The qualities you should have:

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• 2 years of relevant investment experience or a demonstrated interest in the municipal bond market
• Solid understanding of fixed income math with a background in statistics or economics
• Excellent financial analysis and analytical skills
• Inquisitive mind, curiosity, and passion for financial markets
• Excellent work ethic, team player, and positive attitude
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Base Salary range: $95,000 to $135,000. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
