Deposit Operations Specialist I

Department: Deposit Operations Supervises: None

Status: Full-Time Officer Status: Non Officer FSLA: Non-Exempt

Location: Evansville Region

Hours: Monday thru Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00pm. Over-time may be required if business and staffing needs dictate

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Deposit Operations Specialist supports branch offices and departments for deposit and internet banking services. Supports various aspects of the daily processes of Deposit Operations including functions encompassing: internet banking, mobile banking, bill pay, deposit account set-up and maintenance, remote deposit capture, specialized deposit products (IRA, H.S.A. Sweeps), return items, debit card services, account transfers and account research. Assists bank customers and retail branches with deposit product inquiries and problem resolution. Stays abreast of, complies with and performs functions related to various federal regulations including: Bank Secrecy Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation D and Regulation E. Responsible for all BSA related activities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing change requests submitted by branch offices and departments
  • Process RIM (return/exceptions) daily
  • Process return deposit items daily
  • Balance ACH
  • Review Stop Payment
  • Process debit card orders and maintenances
  • Balance ATMs for institution
  • Maintain Cash Management Products
  • Maintain decedent account files
  • Review new deposit accounts.
  • Review hold notices as needed
  • Setup overdraft protection transfers
  • Process research requests
  • Process wires for branch offices and departments.
  • Answer internal and external customer service calls related to Internet banking, account activity and other account related questions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1- 2 years banking experience
  • 1-2 years of branch operations or deposit operations experience
  • Superior internal and external customer service experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
